A visit from a local Doctor!

In senior infants we have been learning about Doctors for the last few weeks. We invited a local Doctor to pay us a visit and we learned so much! We got to test out some very special doctor equipment - for testing our eyesight, our heart, our breathing and so much more! Thank you so much to Dr. Kelly! :)

Cork All Stars in the making

Big thank you to Dave Larkin and his team of volunteers who are teaching Hurling skills to the Seniors. Every Thursday morning the Seniors have a session with some of the best hurling trainers and the improvement each week is obvious. Watch this space!

Autumn leaves

We love Autumn. We love to see the beautiful colors on the trees. We're taking inspiration from the Autumn leaves for some Art projects in school.

Greens Schools Day

On Friday 7th of October, the children in Scoil Bhailenóra tried their very best to Car Pool with their friends. That means, we shared a spin with other boys and girls in the school to reduce the number of cars coming to Ballinora, and help keep the environment clean. It was a great success. Maith sibh buachaillí agus cailíní :)

A busy tooth fairy

We have a very busy tooth fairy in Senior Infants, even in school some of the Senior's teeth are falling out. Jamie's first tooth fell out in school, and Faye's second tooth fell out in school :)

Visit from An Garda Síochána

We have been learning about the Emergency Services, and how they keep us safe.
We were lucky enough in Scoil Bhailenóra, to have a visit from Sergeant Lyons and his team of Gardaí.

We heard the sirens, learned about the motor bike, revised how to stay safe on the road and  we met the Garda Dogs Harley and Roxy.

Best of all, we dressed up as Gardaí and even had personalised gardaí badges made for us.
Ballinora's future is in safe hands with this bunch of infants

Go raibh maith agat Sergeant Lyons
